Mistake # 1- You are in an exercise rut

This happens all the time. People are always looking to break their infamous "plateau." If your training program is boring there's a good chance your muscles are lacking the stimulation necessary to get your body lean and burn fat!

Correction - Look over your program and identify the holes. Does it make sense to you and your goals? If you don't have a program then consider contacting Absolutraining for some guidance or joining the A-Team Boot Camp!


Mistake # 2- Too much cardio

Let's make this simple. Unless you are a trained athlete who runs 20 miles like a cheetah then cardio can kill your results. You cannot compare your intensity level to that of a professional marathon runner. That being said, cardio for fat loss is not a good tool. It does burn fat but very little and builds ZERO muscle. Remember, without muscle the body runs very slow (low metabolism).


Correction- Do 3 total body metabolic workouts a week. This will wipe you out but the fat will come right off. If you need help Absolutraining can prescribe some awesome metabolic workouts to get you started. 

Mistake # 3- Fat burning zone

Fat burning zone doesn't exist or least on any machinery. As mentioned earlier, cardio at low
intensity such as the "fat burning zone" does very little in building a sexy lean body. You cannot build muscle tone or have a sculpted body from this fat burning zone. You need something with higher intensity to burn fat and build muscle.
