Train Hard OR SEE NOTHING!

Training requires more than just going to the gym. As a fitness and nutrition coach I am shocked at how many people complain about not getting results... while working out!

Let me make one thing clear. Results takes work! Going to the gym simply doesn't cut it. Many people say that they train 5-6 days a week. Really? What are you doing on those days? Walking, stretching, maybe a few sets/rounds here and there?

Training

Training requires a plan, progressions, regressions, varied intensity, mobility work, etc... It is more than doing cardio work or lifting weights.

Do WORK! Yes I know that sometimes work means getting sweaty, sacrificing and complaining that your muscles are sore but that's what it takes if you want to see REAL RESULTS!

I am personally not a huge fan of train until you puke, but I am must say your training must reflect your results. If you want muscle tone then you need to train so that your body stimulates muscle growth. Same goes for fat loss, your training must be metabolic and/or circuit fashion using appropriate muscle burning  movements.

Train HARD

Regardless you need to sweat, work, challenge yourself and show variations upon progression. If this is not included in your current training program then honestly, you are wasting your time.

Remember when you were a kid who use to run around, climb, get dirty and sweat? Well essentially that's what you want to do while you are training. Granted you want to make your training program specific to your goals but the concept should be the same... DO WORK!

A NEW client of mine and was shocked on the variation and intensity that we had been using. "This is awesome" she says, "I've never done this before with my last trainer." Hence, that was the reason she didn't get results...

Below are 7 "Must-Do's." Apply these 7 methods to your current training program and watch your results become more visible than ever.

  1. Strength Train
  2. Add Mobility work
  3. Add progressions
  4. Regress if necessary
  5. Evaluate program every 4-6 weeks
  6. Add intensity
  7. TRAIN HARD!
