Expensive Workouts!
When it come to fat-loss, you have to make sure they are expensive, "Metabolically Expensive" that is.
Take a look.
Your workouts should typically last an hour, an hour 20 min tops depending on your stage of training. A "Metabolically Expensive" workout is not your typical bicep curl or tricep extension workout, but is far more taxing. My definition for an expensive workout is anything that EXHAUSTS your musoskeletal system in a single training session. The greater the exhaustion the higher the caloric expenditure is.
Selectively choose you exercises. Make sure your whole program is BALANCED and is geared towards losing fat.
Incorporate big grinding (slow and technical) exercises such as a traditional deadlift, front squat, or over head squat as these have the highest muscle recuitment/stress to stimulate fat burn. Avoid any exercise(s) that are "inexpensive."
I was at a local gym the other day and spotted a man fairly overweight working out hard and breaking a swet. I sat there and watched him pump through each rep, moaning and had the determination in his eyes to conquer the world. The moment he sat the weights down I casually walked up to him and said, "Hey whatcha doin," "Bicep curls" he says. I then I asked him "Why," and he looked and me and said "I dunno."
Make sure your program makes sense. Stick to expensive workouts.
