Metabolism???
It's the main headquarters where all bodily processes, hormone exchange, and enzyme control takes place. In terms of Fitness metabolism is responsible for muscle loss, calories burning, food breakdown, nutrient transport, and energy availability. You can't see Metabolism but just know that it's there working 24 hours a day...
Do you ever feel like your body is just worn out. I mean it's not moving and recovering as fast as it use to? Even though every year we are aging, don't you feel and look like your body is just losing it? I had a friend of mine complain of his current old broken down body. He said "it just doesn't move and heals like it use to." I look at him and laugh. The guy is 30 years old. Yeah he is probably 15 pounds over weight and eats and drinks booze like a fish---but what do you expect. His metabolism is probably trashed. Making weight gain 10 times easier, weight loss 100 times harder, and having the stamina and strength of a 70 year old (no offense grandpas).
I asked him what he plans to do about it and he says "I DON'T KNOW."
Listen don't trap yourself. Once you start to do "nothing" it is EXTREMELY difficult to get you out of the whole... And age is not a FACTOR. I have clients in their mid 40's-50's kicking ass and looking sharp.
I've done tons of research and problem lies with HABITS. What types of habits do you carry? Work, eat, drink, smoke, sleep deprived, or not exercising. This is where the real problem lies. It can make your 25-30 year old metabolism function as fast as a snail paced 80 year old.

Think of the whole "Metabolism" process as a muscle car. If you don't take care of it, it loses power and runs like crap. If you let it sit there and don't do any maintenance, the battery dies and the oil thickens---it runs like crap. If you MAINTAIN your car, regular oil changes, new spark plugs, etc... it keeps your car running well. BUT in order to keep your metabolism RUNNING FAST you can take it up a notch by adding engine upgrades, turbo chargers, and the whole "nine yards."
Make the proper adjustments. Don't let your Metabolism fall apart. If you do nothing then you chose to make your life difficult. Now go out there and SPEED IT UP!
